CST Australia is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide our services to you. About these Terms
This website is owned and operated by Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Incorporated ("CST Australia", "we", "us", "our"), an incorporated association registered in the Australian Capital Territory. These Terms of Use set out the conditions under which you may access and use the member area of cstaustralia.com (the "Member Area") and the resources made available through it.
By accessing or using the Member Area, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Member Area.
Who can use the Member Area
The Member Area is intended for people who have an interest in progressing, delivering or researching CST in Australia, including but not limited to people have completed Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) Facilitator Training delivered by CST Australia and members of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy Incorporated.
To create and maintain an account, you must:

be at least 18 years of age and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms

provide accurate and current information when registering

keep your login details confidential and not share your account with anyone else

notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
What we offer
Through the Member Area, we provide access to:

resources, materials and downloads to support your practice as a CST facilitator

a community space where members can post, comment and interact with other facilitators

We may add, change or remove resources and features at any time, with or without notice. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
Resources and materials
The Member Area contains two kinds of materials:

official materials produced or licensed by CST Australia

member-contributed materials shared by other members of the community (such as activity ideas, adapted resources or templates)
Materials produced by CST Australia
All materials produced by CST Australia remain the property of CST Australia or our licensors and are protected by copyright.
You may:

download and use official materials for your own professional CST facilitation practice

share official materials with the participants of your CST groups where they are clearly intended for that purpose
You must not:

reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense or commercially distribute official materials

use official materials to deliver CST facilitator training to others

remove copyright notices, branding or attribution
-
upload official materials to other websites, learning platforms or AI systems
Member-contributed materials
We encourage members to share resources they have developed, in the spirit of building a strong CST community of practice.
When you share a resource in the Member Area:

you keep ownership of your material
-
you confirm that you have the right to share it, and that doing so does not breach anyone else's copyright, privacy or confidentiality

you grant other members a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to download and use your material for their own professional CST facilitation practice, including with the participants of their CST groups
-
you grant CST Australia a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, adapt and incorporate your material into our official resources and training, with attribution to you wherever practical
-
you can ask us to remove your material from the Member Area at any time. Removal will stop further sharing, but does not affect uses already made by other members in good faith before removal
When using a resource shared by another member, you must:

respect the contributor's authorship and not present their material as your own
-
use it only for your professional CST facilitation practice
-
not redistribute it outside your own CST groups, sell it, or upload it to other platforms
Important note about member-contributed materials
Member-contributed materials are shared by individual facilitators and have not been formally reviewed or endorsed by CST Australia. You are responsible for exercising your own professional judgement when deciding whether and how to use them in your practice.
The community space
The Member Area includes a community where you can post, comment, and connect with other facilitators.
By participating in the community:

you understand that your profile and contributions (such as posts and comments) will be visible to other members of the community

you can choose to leave the community at any time, after which your profile will no longer be publicly visible to other members, and you will no longer be able to post, comment or use community features
When taking part in the community, you agree to:

treat other members with respect and professionalism
-
protect the privacy and dignity of the people you support, including by not sharing any identifying information about clients, participants or their families
-
post content that is accurate, lawful, and relevant to CST practice
-
not post content that is abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, misleading, promotional, or that infringes anyone's rights
Suspension or cancellation of your account
We may suspend or cancel your access to the Member Area at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, misused the Member Area or its content, or acted in a way that could harm CST Australia, other members or the people they support.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
No warranties
The Member Area and the materials within it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take care to provide accurate, evidence-informed content, the materials are intended as a professional resource only, and not as clinical, medical or legal advice. You are responsible for exercising your own professional judgement when applying any of the materials in practice.
We do not warrant that the Member Area will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CST Australia will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Member Area or its materials, including loss of profits, goodwill, data or other intangible losses.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold CST Australia harmless from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Member Area or its materials, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Communications from us
By creating an account, you agree that we may contact you about your account, the Member Area, and matters relevant to your CST practice (for example, updates to training materials or community guidelines). From time to time we may also send you optional updates about CST Australia activities. You can opt out of optional communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
Privacy
We collect and handle personal information about members in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.cstaustralia.com/privacy-policy. By using the Member Area, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy and agree to our handling of your personal information as described in it.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify members through the Member Area or by email. Your continued use of the Member Area after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of that territory.
